Dimitri Sirenko
With a lifelong passion for visual art, Dimitri Sirenko pursued formal education in media arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. After navigating the challenges of entering the industry during a recession, he rose to roles like Senior Concept Artist and Art Director. Despite success, the corporate environment stifled his artistic expression. Seeking renewal, Dimitri found solace in traditional art, winning accolades like the Art Battle National Championship of 2018. Disillusioned by workplace politics, the artist transitioned to fine art full-time, and has explored different painting styles and themes for the past few years.
Dimitri crafted a bespoke painting for QuadReal to be used in our vacant hoarding walls, capturing a breathtaking sunset over downtown Calgary. His artistry infuses the canvas with a mesmerizing color palette, breathing vibrancy into the scene through a skillful balance of deliberate and spontaneous brushstrokes.
Alixandra Jade
Alixandra Jade began her career as lululemon's 'Chalk Chick', creating over 100 chalk art pieces in their North American stores before transitioning to professional muralist. With a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications specializing in Business Marketing from the University of Alberta, Alixandra brings a unique blend of marketing, graphic design, and event planning expertise to her art. She believes murals can serve functional purposes beyond aesthetics, conveying messages, embodying brands, or providing backdrops for photography. Working closely with clients, Alixandra's versatile style ranges from bold and abstract to stylized realism and 'street' art, all created by hand to establish a personal connection in today's digital age. For her, every blank wall represents a new opportunity and challenge.

Lucie Bause
Lucie Bause is a visual artist, educator, and therapeutic art practitioner based in the Bow River Valley since 1989. With a background in English Literature, Spanish Language and Literature, Fine Art, and therapeutic arts studies, Lucie's work is deeply informed by her diverse academic and cultural experiences. Her stylized paintings, inspired by nature, have been showcased in numerous exhibitions across Alberta, including commissioned public art works for the Town of Canmore and The Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Lucie's art explores patterns, cycles, and rhythms in nature, reflecting her passion for creativity, healing, and community engagement. Lucie Bause's exhibition was brought to us in partnership with HelloArt.
Student's Art Wall
The Student's Art wall at Western Canadian Place was created in partnership with Tandem Marketing. Students from Woodbine Elementary School were invited to draw about Calgary’s western heritage/culture. The different views and perspectives were showcased in a wall. The project was intented to bring both a cultural and a community piece to the property, supporting arts independently from age, style and background.
The Resilience Project
The Resilience Art Project, led by HAS (Hispanic Arts Society), invited artists to paint surface designs on five identical heart-shaped sculptures. Out of a large pool of applicants, five artists from various backgrounds were selected to participate. The sculptures create a heart-shaped silhouette when viewed from front and back angles at a distance of 15 feet, with the form becoming increasingly abstract up close. Detailed planning by HAS's in-house design team ensured this playful illusion. Displayed across Calgary in 2023, including at the Telus Convention Centre, the Calgary Airport, and Jamieson Place Winter Garden, the project highlights HAS's dedication to local artists and diverse perspectives.
Riverview Artists
'Riverview Artists,' a distinguished collective of 12 local painters has been bringing their exhibitions to our Calgary properties for a few years. For over three decades, they have passionately crafted and presented their original paintings to the Calgary community. Each exhibit features approximately 80 paintings. The variety of styles and techniques are diverse so that each show provides a new look at the unique artistic directions being pursued by each of the artists.
